A Collaboration With Panavision: Anna Smoroňová, ASK
Cinematographer Anna Smoroňová, ASK’s credits include the feature Němá tajemství (aka Suppressed), which played at the 2023 Camerimage International Film Festival, and the music videos for Lazer Viking’s “Yr Body” and dné’s “Traps in My Feed.” In this video interview, she traces her preproduction process on Suppressed, from assembling a mood board she shared with director Tomas Masin to their decisions to embrace bold tones and shoot with an often static camera, which they paired with Panavision Primo lenses sourced through Panavision Prague. Smoroňová also offers insights into how she finds inspiration and the value of patience when embarking on a career in cinematography.
